We address you with a great request of financial support for the rehabilitation of our daughter Hanna Lewko. On March, 23 Hania turned 4. Our daughter was born healthy and up to two years of age she developed normally. Health problems appeared suddenly. From December 2008 she suffers from a rare disease (in Poland and in Europe practically unprecedented) -MOYAMOYA, causing narrowing of the arteries supplying blood to the brain (Hanna's arteries are narrowed at the place they enter the skull).
Hanna has got two brain ischemic strokes in a month - in both hemispheres - which resulted in serious brain damage and now our daughter has the paresis of all limbs, does not speak, and does not eat by herself.
On May 5, 2009, in Lublin, Hania had surgery, aiming to produce blood vessels that provide blood flow to the brain. Daughter requires constant care and rehabilitation. Every day we do exercises with Hanna at home, as well as we use a therapy in the rehabilitation clinic, but to be effective rehabilitation frequent trips to medical facilities are needed.
Unfortunately, our financial situation does not allow us to organize all the treatments that our child needs. Due to the need for constant care of Hanna, we can not work both at the time. We are forced to use welfare benefits, but these means are insufficient.
Hence our appeal to you and the huge request for any financial help. Thanks to the courtesy of Votum Foundation, Hanna has got the account, where we can take any financial help (donations):
